Drema,
I am sure you don't remember me
but I am Peggy, John Guthrie's first wife. I was sorry to read of the death
of your mother. I lost my father in December so I know this is not an easy
time. Just wanted you to know that my thoughts are with you all the way from
Phoenix. God Bless your family... |

I knew and loved your Mother. She
was my sister, Colleen Crockett's, best (and only real) buddy at Warwick
Forest where they lived next door to each other. They were always together. I live in Atlanta, but knew Phyllis well and recently talked to her on the phone. When she gave the phone back to "your sister", I said "Phyllis, love you!". I'm so glad I did. Colleen (CC as they call her) loves Phyllis' cat, Rust. I mailed toys to him a few weeks ago from Atlanta. We are in shock that Phyllis is gone. I don't know how Colleen is going to fair without her Dear Friend and Rust. We are so sad. Colleen will be at the funeral; we have to make arrangements for someone to drive her there. We send our condolences to all her family. Please take good care of Rust and give him his toys that opened up his life since he was an inside cat. Phyllis would want that as she was so devoted to him. |

Come, Ye Disconsolate
Words by Thomas
Moore; alt. by Thomas Hastings
Music by Samuel Webbe
Come, ye disconsolate, where'er ye languish.
Come to the mercy seat, fervently kneel.
Here bring your wounded hearts, here tell your anguish;
Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
Joy of the desolate, light of the straying,
Hope of the penitent, fadeless and pure!
Here speaks the Comforter, tenderly saying,
"Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot cure."
Here see the bread of life; waters flowing
Forth from the throne of God, pure from above.
Come to the feast of love; come, ever knowing
Earth has no sorrow but heaven can remove.
