Fellow Typhoons:  My Classmate, Gilmore Kirby ’64, passed away on 25 November 1998. An old Army buddy of his recently learned of his death by searching the Internet and landing on our NNHS web site. They had not been in contact since 1968.

I was contacted by the buddy and asked if I knew the cause of death. I replied that I did not, but I offered to query the Alumni in hopes that someone does know. If you have this information, please e-mail me at nnhs64@cox.net.

Killed in Accident

I want to share this about Tom.
We met through my church and became very good friends.  He was driving his motorcycle on the way to summer school in Hampton.
In those days there was no helmet law.  At the intersection of Kecoughtan Road and Ivy Home Road, a car ran the stop sign, and Tom's bike hit the car.  I was devastated over his untimely senseless death.  It was an awesome service
at his Lutheran church.  To this day, I have not heard a better memorial.  I will always remember his sweetness.
