Brenda Sue Carson Divine

Brenda Sue Divine, 53, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002.
A native of
Newport News,
she was a lifelong
Peninsula
resident. Mrs. Divine was
a 1967 graduate of
Newport News
High
School and a honor graduate of Thomas
Nelson
Community College. She was a supervisor with Newport News
Ship
Building
and Dry Dock. Brenda Sue was preceded in death by her father, Thomas E. Carson
Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Robert Howell Jr. of Hampton; her
mother, Katherine Godwin and her husband, Varon, of Newport News; a brother,
Thomas E. Carson Jr. of Williamsburg; two sisters, Jo Ann C. Williams of
Poquoson,
Karen C. Higgins and her husband, Michael, of Williamsburg; an aunt and a host
of
uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to express their heart
felt
thanks to Dr. Lechman and the ICU nurses Karen, Barbie, Bobbi and Jaban at
Mary
Immaculate
Hospital,
and also a special thanks to Robert Howell Sr. for all of his
support. A graveside service will be held at
10 a.m.
Saturday, Nov. 16, in
Hampton
Memorial
Gardens
with Rev. Clarence Hilling officiating. The family will receive
friends from
7
to 8 p.m.
Friday in Amory Funeral Home, Grafton.
