Dee Hodges Bartram ('66) of VA :

Beverly Miller Cowell ('66) of TN has asked for our prayers concerning her mother.
Here is her message:

I'd like to ask all our NNHS friends to say an extra prayer for my mother, who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and is currently in Riverside Hospital. Fortunately, at the age of 87, she is able to say she has never been sick, on any long term medication or been in the hospital since she had me, 55 years ago. I've been up there with her and returned to Nashville this weekend for a quick "catch up" at my office. My thanks to everyone who would say a little prayer that she not suffer too long.

I would like to add the names of two of my classmates to your prayer list, and request that all who read my posting, say additional prayers for these two wonderful members of NNHS Class of 1957: Michael Spangler and Adrienne Price Cox. Both are dealing with serious health issues and need all of our support and prayers just now.

Here's a prayer request you can post on your prayer board:
a small group of men and women who are all close friends, have been challenged by our Lord to start-up a "white-hot" non-denominational, unaffiliated evangelical church in the
Fort Lauderdale area.

We will be trying to attempt a "large-church-immediately" startup, which is quite challenging. We have tentatively scheduled our first service for Christmas Eve, this year in a 1200-seat facility. We are praying for full-capacity service! Obviously, this is impossible, without God's help... Will y'all pray for us? Here's our prayer list:

1. That we stay focused on Jesus and on reaching the lost

2. Pastor and staff

3. Church office space

4. Financing

5. God's blessing

6. God's supernatural assistance
