I'm going to save the major Updates for tomorrow's Newsletter, and just hit the Notes and Newbies.

Despite all my vaunted magic, I am stumped trying to find Richard Cantor ('65).
Could you put out the call in the next newsletter, explaining that we hope to reunite
every member of the 1964 Championship Basketball Team?

Certainly, Dave! This is critically important. It wouldn't be the same - or even be fair -
without Richard there with the rest of the team. Would y'all please help Dave find Richard
so that his invitation can be mailed to him as soon as possible?

I sure hope you plan to attend the upcoming 40th reunion, Carol, as I would love to meet the originator
of this great NNHS page. It's wonderful to read notes from former classmates. Having moved away from
NN in '66, I've lost touch with just about everyone and am beyond excitement at the prospect of seeing
old friends, and a few old nemesis {how does one pluralize that word?}, after sooooooooo many years.

BTW, Jean Poole, while you're in the cleaning mode, how about stopping by my house and tackling it.
I hate to clean.

I don't know if Kathy Agee (sorry Kathy, if I look for your married name on the '64 page I may lose
this letter) reads this page, but, Kathy, if you do, I want to tell you I found a sketch you made in one
of my year books. I can still see you so clearly. Do you still wear your class ring? You, me and Sandra
Lyons were the only three to get class pinky rings. I'm still a little different, are you?

Well, I'm off to walk my dog. I have about 10 more pounds to lose before October. A girl has gotta look
good at the reunion, right?

Thank you, Suzanne! I'm looking forward to seeing you there, too! I remember you as one of the most elegant, beautiful
girls in the school. I wouldn't dream of missing this particular reunion! It's going to be unbelievably, incredibly wonderful!
And I understand your excitement! I went to our 10th Reunion in 1975, and then fell off the Ends of the Earth myself (well,
actually, I was in Missouri and Illinois for 30 years - same thing!), and didn't get to another Reunion until our 35th in 2000.
That's why I raid them all now!

Best wishes with your ten pounds. I was hoping for twenty or thirty myself.........GIGGLES! Although I don't really care
any more, as long as I can see everyone again! (On the other hand, I'd just as soon not reapply that 65-pound blubber coating
I wore for all those many years, either......)

Dear Family and Friends,

It appears our move to NC has begun! The angels arranged for our condo in the USVI to sell
when it was NOT on the market.......and we don't have to move! Yep! The new owners are
thrilled to have us rent from them until WE decide the time is right to make the move to NC.

Of course it's not over until the closing

........................

It happened as it did with our home in Williamsburg.....a broker called on Monday telling us
she had someone interested in OUR unit and would we let her show it, we did, we talked and
we signed the contract last night.

Now we can have an architect design our little cottage.

We are blessed. Hugs to all.

Sure would like to see our birthdays on your birthdays link. Mine is March 11, 1946 and my husband, Howard L. Williamson's,
is December 4, 1944. We really enjoy your NNHS newsletter and web site and we appreciate all the hard work that you put into it.
We will gladly join your parade any time. We noticed that Sandi Bateman Chestnut's husband graduated from Nakina High School
in Nakina, NC. My husband has many family members that live there in that small community. Two of his uncles graduated from
Nakina High School. Their names were Roy and Ray Faulk. What a small world we live in. Thanks for letting me share this with you.

Thank you, Belinda! The bad news is - the Guest Book is a world unto itself. Sometimes it allows me to edit it,
sometimes it won't let me in, and sometimes it is more interested in giving me a "delightful" Trojan horse virus
than anything else. I recommend that you re-sign the Guest Book with your new email address until I'm able
to battle the dragon. I WILL fix it at my earliest opportunity, but that won't be for awhile, unfortunately.

good year's supply of them at the reunion. It's a proven fact that hugs are necessary to human survival. If I recall
Ashley Montagu's research correctly, I believe the recognized standard for thriving is twelve hugs daily. I shall
be very busy in October! WILD GIGGLES!!!

I recently downloaded a picture from your web site of the ' 55 cheerleaders since Kiddy Dickens ('55),
my wife of 48 years, was in it. Our class is in the process of planning our FIFTY YEAR REUNION
(I still can't believe it has been that long) next year. By-the-way, your 65 web site is outstanding!!

Jimmy Starboard ('55) ... broke the record for the 100 Yard Dash while running track at NNHS.
That was an exciting time. He could run like the wind.

Thanks, Joe! I had forgotten that part. I remembered Jimmy as Best All Around in his class - and of course, what a really, really
cute guy he was (some things never change!) - but I was only seven years old, and not really into sports much. Thanks for sharing that
with us, Adonis!

The Saga of the Rings (continued):

Ring stories!

I never liked my ring - thought it was too big - and rarely wore it. But my daughter, Laura,
found it as she was growing up and now she wears it constantly. She loves it and says it
makes her think of me. Okay - so that is mushy - but I think it is sweet. It is beautiful here
in Williamsburg - hope it is where you are too! Love - Pam

What a neat story! Thanks, Pam! I still have my mama's 10K gold 1925 John Marshall High School ring. I used
to wear it as a pinky ring myself, but I have a bad habit of losing rings, so I'm usually afraid to do that now.

They are at our school each year. I'm at Warwick High School.
