When I was a teenager my friend
Patty and I wanted to see "Cape Fear" with Polly Bergen, which we heard was a
very SCARY movie. It had already played at the better theaters and was at the
Langley in Hampton. We had heard
that the Langley had mice but we decided to be brave and go there anyway...I was
sitting there wearing a pair
of Trotters (little flats that barely covered your feet) and a MOUSE ran across
my feet! I grabbed Patty and told
her...I do not think she believed me...but I sat on my feet for the rest of the
movie because we did not want to leave!
I was too startled to holler! We never went back to the Langley!
