Drowned in a Kayak Accident | |

My brother ... Garland drowned
in a kayak accident in 2001. He worked for NASA and loved to play Country
music with bands in the tidewater area, even though he was profoundly deaf.
It really surprised people to learn that, as he could read lips. More than
once it got him into trouble at school for talking when the teacher called
for quiet. He is dearly missed. Thank you for a job very well done, - Ruth Ann Reece Horace ('67) of FL - 03/14/08 Thank you, Ruth Ann. GARLAND D. REECE

This page was developed through
the tireless efforts of Carol Anne
Comer Cutler ('70) of VA and
Roberta Hilsdon ('70) of GA,
who gathered the names of their deceased classmates. Roberta then enlisted
the help of an unknown (to me) individual, who then
scanned the entire senior section of the 1970 Anchor, and placed that on
a CD which Roberta then mailed to me on 08/13/07.
Thank y'all so very much!
